The Orillia Hawks Girls Hockey Association local league hosts home games and practices in Orillia but requires travel for away games. Season consists of 18 games, 9 home and 9 away. Teams will travel to play other local league centers in the Simcoe Muskoka Girls Hockey League including Barrie, Collingwood, Midland and Huntsville.
Each player will be assigned to a division, based on their year of birth, per the table below:

For the 2026/2027 season, registration fees have increased by 5% (with the exception of U7), to reflect rising ice rental costs. In previous seasons, the Association did not always increase fees when ice costs increased.
New to Hockey: If your daughter has never played hockey with a Hockey Canada sanctioned association, please email the treasurer to receive a one-time discount of $150 this season treasurer@orilliagirlshockey.com. This promo is only available for the U9 to U18 House League divisions.
The Association has also eliminated the Fundraising Raffle program moving forward. A Volunteer Levy program has been introduced and is outlined below.

All local league teams will have one practice/week and one game/week.

Additional ice time may be made available based on the ice allocated to the Association.

All Local League teams will be registered in the Hawks Home Tournament. Any additional tournaments will be decided on by the local league teams and fees would be required to be covered by individual team fees and would not be covered by Association registration fees.
Development information for the 26-27 season will be forthcoming once the Association has decided on the format for development.
The U7 development program jerseys are sponsored by Timbits. The U7 development format has been modified to include 2 ice times (practices) per week and as a result the registration fee has increased.
The U7 team plays 4-5 games per season and are generally scheduled in the second half of the season.

The Orillia Hawks have been awarded the Bauer First Shift program again for the 2026-2027 season for players born in 2018 or younger.
Bauer First Shift is designed to make hockey affordable, manageable, safe, and fun for families new to the game. The program is open to girls who have never played hockey before.

Many participants from the 2025-2026 season registered with the Orillia Hawks local league following completion of the program. The Orillia Hawks will again be offering First Shift participants the opportunity to transition into local league programming with prorated registration fees following the completion of the program.

Our organization relies heavily on volunteers to operate successfully. Volunteering strengthens our Hawks community, builds relationships, and creates a shared sense of purpose while setting a positive example for our athletes about service and commitment.
Every coach, team parent, event helper, and board member who volunteers their time helps reduce overhead costs and keeps registration fees as affordable as possible.
Volunteering is also an excellent opportunity for high school students to complete volunteer service hours.
Beginning this season, a $100 Volunteer Levy will be added to every player registration.
