2023-24 Rep Tryout Information

Tryouts - U11B, U13B, U15B/BB, U18B/BB 

A new OGHA Tryout Policy and Procedure has been posted on the website and this year must be read and acknowledged by each participant as part of the registration process.  You can see the policy here;

Rep Tryout Policy

Tryouts will begin May5^th and conclude May 28th.  

All tryouts are on the Rotary Green surface, except U11B which is at Allendale Rec Centre in Barrie.  Below are the dates and times for each division (these will also be posted on the master calendar):

U11B

1. Saturday, May 27, 1-2 PM
2. Saturday, May 27, 6-7 PM
3. Sunday, May 28, 1-2 PM

U13B

1. May 12, 7-8 PM
2. May 13, 1-2 PM
3. Final Cut, May 14, 8:20 - 9:30 AM

U15BB

1. May 5, 7-8 PM
2. May 6, 2-3 PM
3. Final Cut, May 12, 8-9 PM

U15B (note that these skaters could have skated in the U15BB tryouts as well, and are encouraged to do so)

1. May 13, 2-3 PM
2. Final Cut, May 14, 9:30-10:40 AM

U18BB

1. May 5, 8-9:30 PM
2. May 6, 3-4:30 PM
3. Final Cut, May 12, 9-10 PM

U18B (note that these skaters could have skated in the U18BB tryouts as well, and are encouraged to do so)

1. May 14, 6:30-7:30 PM
2. May 15, 9:00-10:00 PM

These will be open by Friday, February 17th at RAMP Registrations at the following link;

Registration Instructions

1. Follow the Ramp Registrations link above
2. Please select 'Participant' from the first menu
3. Select your player
4. Select the 2022-23 Season
5. Select division and the 2023-24 Rep Tryout Package applicable
6. Select payment type
7. Read the tryout policy and check the box 
8. Select payment type
9. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click 'submit'

Tryout registration fee is $70.00 this year, which includes 4 clinics in April (see below).

No skater will be allowed on the ice (at clinic or tryout) until fees have been paid in full.

Pre-Tryout Practice/Clinics (U13, U15, U18)

New this year will be a 4-week tryout clinic prior to tryouts taking place. The clinic will run Saturday's April 8th-29th between 12:00-2:00pm depending on age and will be for REP players/registered tryout participants only. Cost for the clinic is included in the tryout fee and will be up to each registrant whether they wish to participate or not in the clinic ice.

Brady Leavold from BLeav Hockey and Puck Support will run our tryout camps this April. He’s super excited to be back with us again.

Dan Spence and his crew of instructors from 360Goaltending will be back again to work with our goalies during the pre-tryout camp. Dan works individually with some of our REP teams and also ran a 6-week goaltending clinic with us last fall and can't wait to get back on the ice with our tryout hopefuls.

For players outside of the Hawks, you will only be able to skate on the April 22 and April 29th clinics, and with permission (see above).
